Weedsucker 03:58
We have no real secret Everybody knows We have all been abandoned and I'm out of my sheep's clothes Baby, you got needs That must be met We all bleed Yeah, we're all in debt I just need weed, sucker Keeps me out of trouble I ain't got time I'm a flatbed trucker Haven't been home in weeks Shaving in the truck while I'm driving Shaving in the rear view mirror Ain't been asleep for days Maybe you can spare some kindness I just want to feel ancient and timeless For a few moments of frozen silence Sometimes I'm scared to death you'll really get to know me and You'll walk right out that door Sometimes I eat potato chips in bed Sometimes I sleep right on that damn floor Just need weed, sucker Keeps me out of trouble I ain't got time I'm a flatbed trucker and I ain't been home in weeks I just want to feel ancient and timeless for one golden moment of silence I just need some weed, sucker... I just want some weed... I just want one moment of frozen golden silence...

1918 03:29
One October night with a raging flu Sarah Jane says, "If I got Covid19, you got Covid19, too" She dropped the twins right into the basket Headed northeast to see the undertaker Left one in a casket Eleanor survived Augusta faded black Two angels go to the forest and Only one comes back One October night with a raging flu, Sarah Jane says, "If I got Covid19, you got Covid19, too" Suddenly 1918 rings all too familiar There's a triller in Manilla who's got a tripbox for a liver They say, "shit happens" Well, it's happening, again You put your left Covid19 out You put your right Covid19 back in One October night with a raging flu, Sarah Jane says, "If I got Covid19, you got Covid19, too" You know, when this thing opens up and The deal goes down You can bet I'll be at the racehorse track Putting all my money down on the crazy horse Who is that masked man...

27 Years 03:04
If it takes 27 years just to show you how much I love you, how much I do If it takes 27 years just to pay it all back, then, I guess that’s just what I’ll do Was a time and a place you wouldn’t talk to me that way Honey, I just can’t believe the things we do and the things we say If it takes 27 years just to show you how much I love you, how much I do If it takes 27 years just to pay it all back, then, I guess that’s just what I’ll do Said you needed more time to take a break by the shore There was a time when you were mine and I wanted nothing more Pandemic cancellations Qwik Stops and Flying Js Trouble and tribulations If you want to go out just stay out and go away Tough times try to make the best of each situation But you said that I had to leave so here I am down at the station If it takes 27 years just to show you how much I love you, how much I do If it takes 27 years just to pay it all back, then, I guess that’s just what I’ll do

I never thought the boat would sail You said the check was in the mail Your eyes were fixed into a far off gaze Ever since the world went sideways On your sacred shores where the deal is finally going to go down Let your spirits soar when the world goes sideways What is the meaning of all of this All of the poetry pacing and to do lists Don’t do me in or let me out That’s someone else’s dream to win If danger could grow wings and fly Would you ask her out and tell me why Would you go down down down down down just for anyone On your sacred shores where the deal is finally going to go down Ever since the world went sideways Let us not worry Don’t pay it any mind for now Ever since the world went sideways I never thought that boat would sail You said the check was in the mail My eyes were fixed into a far off place Ever since the world went sideways What is the meaning of this place All of the poetry pacing and to do lists Won’t do me in That’s someone else’s dream to win If danger could grow wings Would you let her take you and fly away If the world goes sideways Ever since the world went sideways

Sprung from magic mountain like a Filthy new Babylon My hypno-quantum lying baby My lying baby I’m moving on Where’s my check Said you got tangled in the old spot Said nobody was gonna give you a new shot Does shivering in the cold cold wind make you stronger my old friend Where’s my check Cash, money Where's my check It’s not like it's our last chance No one should ever make you feel like a runaway No one should ever make you feel like a runaway I had a grave affiliation with a troubled man down at the railroad station and I burnt up all your Federalist papers The night they drove Old Dixie down My saxophonist mad man When do we activate the new plan What if I can’t hear you anymore or Hear the clouds rolling in Where’s my check
7.
No Pariah 02:42
Angry and defeated like the old man versus cloud The old man and the sea and me make three It’s twelve o’clock on Wednesday You’re the first to hear the sirens play I’m always the last one to know What the hell is going on I put my bread into the basket No pariah, no more outcast No pariah, no more casket X2 When all of my systems are failing me When all of my sisters are ailing me I hope your memory lasts I hope you have a past How do you know who you love If you see no one all day Well you can talk them on the phone You can hide your love hide your love hide your love away What the hell is going on I put my bread into the basket No pariah no more outcast No pariah no more casket X2

Nobody follows the rules We’re all gonna die Don’t be a slave to your depression The splintered wine will help you find you IPA isolation is sweeping the nation I will go to the gallows with Mad Dog just like a bride Unconscious Dad says, “I’m still alive” IPA isolation... Is sweeping the nation Let me out of the house
9.
Masked Man 03:38
Who was that masked man Who’s the guy without the mask Looking danger in the face or Is he looking right past it Somewhere high above the enormous void Lies all the love you seek and destroy Where the songs will rise and The fire never dies Somewhere beyond his cybernetic home The inside and the outside of fear is overgrown With a mad rush of power and sensibility Somewhere high above the siren and the storm where The lonely city sighs and The town crier heads home Lying on your sacred shores When the deal goes down Won’t have to fear no more Somewhere high above the enormous void Lies all the love you seek and avoid Where the songs will rise and The fighter never dies A brilliant mind will slowly decompose Under the stress of non-stop booze and The wild Irish rose Baby give yourself a rest Maybe give it all a rest Maybe give it all a rest
10.
Wake up, wake up, wake up to Find yourself stretched thin Along every point of the time and space continuum Get out, get out, get out Before you disappear You can put your faith in love You can hide your head in fear Amnesia King This is my thing: I think you find it intolerable to walk the earth and not be a beast Wake up, wake up, wake up Let's make love tonight You got to get up get up 'cos Only you can do it right Get out, get out, get out Before you disappear You can put your faith in love You can hide your head in fear Amnesia Kings This is my thing: I think you find it intolerable to walk the earth and not be a beast

Aberdeen 04:34
Busted down in Aberdeen Big flatbed truck ran out of steam and so did I That’s how I met you and To think that I thought I was just passing through Aberdeen Aberdeen… To think that I thought I was just passing through Aberdeen When the fever spiked and your face grew pale Thought my limbs had died when you held my hand at Stewart Trail, in Aberdeen When the children were just babies Couldn’t hear them splashing in the swimming pool Through the upstairs screen window as I lay dying in Aberdeen Aberdeen… As I lay dying in Aberdeen I have at least 360 reasons not to be tempting fate with you Surely, if hubris were contagious, then I guess we’d all be fools In Aberdeen… I guess we’d all be fools to stop in Aberdeen Aberdeen...
12.
Sitting in a laundromat chewing on a pizza from Hell Figuring I’ll call Juliet, but, I sunk my last dime in the wishing well I prayed for the rain only to get the heat There’s no ozone layer anymore and the sidewalk burns my bare feet You could be crying and I could be grinning I could be flying my head might be spinning I could be dying we could be winning You could be faithful and I could be sinning You do the dishes and I’ll dry the linen I am willing to do anything Looks like a new beginning…

about

In the early days of Covid19 lockdown in March of 2020, Dave Nicholas, aka "The Squeezer", sent out a group text to old friends that essentially said, "Let's make a record".

He followed up with suggested song titles and drum tracks and encouraged the group to add their own tracks. Singer-songwriter, Sean Woosley, responded by recording guitar, bass and vocals for a few of the songs and a record started to take shape.

Nicholas and Woosley met up with longtime friend and engineer, Bernie Ramcke to re-record and add more tracks at Ramcke's Freak City Studios in Phoenix, Arizona at the end of May 2020. During those sessions, they brought in Kelsey England, a student at Pepperdine University (who was temporarily back home in Buckeye, Arizona due to the pandemic) to sing backing vocals on a block of the songs.

Singer-songwriter Megan Palmer (East Nashville) was recruited to play violin on a track and subsequently agreed to sing lead vocals on a handful of the songs and the record was completed. The Repo Pilots were born.
